Spin Designer Hostel | 'Gram-worthy Hostel in El Nido Town

El Nido is one of my top favorite places in the country. I think, everyone does. I used to think that traveling here is very costly but let me tell you, it depends on your preference. El Nido is expensive if you choose to stay in luxurious accommodations like in Miniloc, Lagen, or Pangulasian. But, there is always an option like bed and breakfast, Airbnbs, or the famous hostels.

I've become a fan of the hostel because I found it unique and budget-friendly. It's cheap yet you can still find what you are looking for in an accommodation. In El Nido, Spin Designer Hostel is one of the top-rated hostels conveniently located in El Nido Town.

Spin Designer Hostel is designed by travelers, for travelers. This accommodation is perfect for everyone who prefers to have a relaxing stay a few meters away from the beach. The first time I saw them in photos, I didn't hesitate to ask my friend to book our stay here.

Getting There:

From Puerto Princesa City Airport, ride a van bound to El Nido town. From there, ride a trike and ask to drop you off at Spin.

Rooms:

Whether you are a solo traveler or a group, they have an option for you. They offer Private Bunk, Private Single, All-female Dorm, and Mixed Dorm. My friend and I stayed at the Private Bunk which has one bed, private bathroom, airconditioner, ceiling fan, and secure key cards. This type of accommodation also entitled us for free complimentary breakfast and hotel-grade towels and linens.

Amenities/Facilities:

Like any other hostel, Spin Hostel has shared spaces for every guest. The most 'gram-worthy spot inside is The Nest which you can relax while playing board games, chilling with friends, or just reading your favorite book. They also have The Deck which is the area for breakfast and nightcap with your new friends. If you want to go outside, you can find The Woods, the outdoor space with lots of plants and trees.

Spin Hostel also has basic amenities like 24-hour standby power, self-service laundry facilities, pantry, and collection of board games and movies for sharing.

Resto/Cafe

Spin Hostel has Bar 147 which is an outdoor international restaurant and cocktail garden. We didn't try it but they do have "Margarita Night" so you won't need to go far to have some booze.

As for breakfast, it is included in the room rate. It's unlimited but expects basic dishes like eggs, bread, adobo, etc.

Price and Booking

There are a lot of booking sites where you can reserve your stay at Spin Hostel like Agoda, Hostelworld, Traveloka, etc. But I booked through their website directly which was hassle-free. Price per bed is P1,000++ while we paid P3,000 for our private room.

Hungry Herl Adventure Tips:
1. The location is away from the beachfront but it's accessible. There are tricycles roaming around the area.
2. You can book your van tour to Nacpan beach.
3. Be extra friendly. There are lots of nationalities staying here.
4. Take a lot of photos! Their place is super pretty!
