d'Origine | The Interactive Dining Experience

Being a person who loves to eat, I'm always open to trying different types of dining experiences. Say, I can be your casual foodie who can eat street food any time of the day to one who also loves fine dining restaurant. So recently, I had a trip to Bonifacio Global City to try this newest interactive modern dining experience that will surely hit every gastronome's palate - d'Origine.

This was actually my first time at dusitD2 The Fort, Manila and I was so excited to indulge in their offerings. Located on the first floor of the building, d'Origine showcases live culinary by seasoned chefs presenting a rich menu that balances signature dishes and contemporary cuisines. This milestone is led by Maitre Cuisinier de France Cyrille Soenan.

d'Origine is set by Dusit Hospitality Management College (DHMC) and dusitD2 The Fort, Manila to redefine the hospitality experience into hotel and college set. This features programs designed to train students and professionals through 21st-century pedagogy and immersion in real-world operational experiences.

During the event, we experienced what they have on the menu:


Braised US Ox Tongue

Pamora Free-range Chicken Blanquette Fricasse

Braised Beef Cheeks 

Pork Chop Charcuterie

Barramundi Stuffed with Shrimp 

First things first, we had freshly baked bread with butter as an appetizer and drinks while waiting for our food. The serving time was approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Then, soup came followed by the main courses. It's pretty normal in a fine dining restaurant to have a small serving size per dish but actually, everything is meant for sharing. My top three choices for the main courses were Braised US Ox Tongue, Pork Chop Charcuterie, and Braised Beef Cheeks. Everything was tender since they are following strict cooking time per dish. I've learned that some of them took almost 12 hours to cook and prepare. Some ingredients are locally sourced yet other flavors come from the international market.

To experience the full-blown course meal of d'Origine, we had desserts for the finale. Everything looked so nice with how they presented each. I must say that everything didn't deceive us coz they were literally soooo reasonably-satisfying! My top faves were L'Original Kouign Amann, Chocolate Moelleux Cake, and Kouign Amman.

Overall, the experience was so worth it, more than palatable. I can't wait to be back, hopefully, to experience dinner. d'Origine is one of the must-try restaurants in BGC if you love to have an interactive dining experience, sumptuous food, and world-class service.
