Bistro Charlemagne | Now Opens at Ayala Malls Manila Bay

Bistro Charlemagne is one of the most-loved restaurants by many because of the familiar and well-loved dishes they offer. This restaurant is a brainchild of Mr. Charlemagne Lim who used to run Little Asia that's why some of the items on their menu here came from that restaurant. Last 2019, I visited two of their branches at Ayala Malls Feliz and Ayala Malls Solenad. Now, to welcome this year, they opened up their 3rd branch at Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

On the day of our visit, we had a hard time looking for its location since it was also our first time to roam around this newest Mall in Paranaque. Just a quick guide: Bistro Charlemagne is located at the 3F of Cinema Building. As of this writing, only a few restaurants are near the area so expect to have a less crowded and intimate dining experience.

Just like their other branches, Bistro Charlemagne at Ayala Malls Manila Bay has almost the same interior design - a little intimidating but classy. They matched it with red velvet and snakeskin furniture. The glass windows are allowing the natural light to comes in, which makes the restaurant very cozy and welcoming.

For the menu, we tried their best sellers. We all know that Bistro Charlemagne has a wide variety of options, allowing its customers to try their Asian and European dishes. They remained some of the best-sellers from Little Asia and added other fresh options to excite every diner.

Beef Tenderloin Rolls with Cheese (P415)
This is the bomb! I loved the playful combination of beef, cheese, and teriyaki sauce - so heavenly.

Ox Sisig (P355)
I think this will be my dish na babalik-balikan. I loved the classic sisig matched with ox tongue, ox tripe, and the sinfully good chicharon bulaklak. This is best with rice and beer on the side.

Shrimp Poppers (P435)
The succulent taste of shrimps made this dish very popular even if you are not a seafood lover. I found it very juicy and flavorful, bursting with wholesome taste. The entire serving with a salad on the side is good for sharing up to 3 persons.

Lengua in Mushroom White Sauce (P415)
My least favorite among the dishes that we had since I'm not really a fan of lengua. This dish is made up of braised oz tongue with cream sauce and sauteed mushrooms. Yep! Not really my type.

Reese's Smores (P265)
To cleanse off your palette, this is a must-try dessert here which is made up of melted Reese's and topped with roasted marshmallows served with Graham crackers.

Drinks (Starts at P120)
We had the Vietnamese Coconut Drink and Blueberry Banana Shake. The Vietnamese one had a Christmasey color but the taste was very Asian. I loved the Blueberry Banana Shake which wasn't too sweet. I just noticed that this drink turned a little brown after some time, indicating that they used fresh banana instead.

Home-cooked meals are great but if you like to spend eating outside, why not try Bistro Charlemagne. I loved their fusion dishes that are really easy to indulge. Their price might be a little steep but the tastes could justify it. Aside from the menu, I've mentioned above, Bistro Charlemagne has also P235.00 set meals for those who are budget-conscious and party tray dishes perfect for get-together and parties! Just check out their Facebook or Instagram for details.
