Kyochon | Home of Authentic Korean Fried Chicken

Way back years ago, I remembered eating in Kyochon at SM Fairview because of the hype with Lee Min Ho who used to be the endorser for this brand. Fast forward today, I visited their branch in Robinsons Manila which I learned that they only have two remaining branches here in the country.

Just a brief background, Kyochon is a Korean brand originated in South Korea in 1991 and entered the Philippine market in 2013. They have several branches across the globe including USA, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

Kyochon's pride is its authentic Korean fried chicken. I know, I almost forgot the taste since I had them years ago. I couldn't remember but one fact about them is that their chicken is double-fried. It's a technique to remove fatty oils to make it more flavorful and crunchy.

So, for sharing, Kyochon has two combo meals:

Combo 1 (P599)
This set is good for two people that includes 10pcs. chicken (soy garlic and red only), salad, two cups of rice, and two glasses of drinks.

Combo 2 (P1,199)
This set is good for four people that includes 20pcs. chicken (soy garlic and red only), salad, four cups of rice, and four glasses of drinks.

If you want to order chicken with different flavors, they have a series of flavors:

Original Series (Starts at P149)
This is their original flavor: soy sauce and garlic. Available in drumstick, wing, and whole chicken.

Red Series (Starts at P149)
For spicy lovers, you'll definitely love this flavor made from Korean red chili peppers. Available in drumstick, wing, and whole chicken.

Honey Series (Starts at P349)
If you like sweet flavor, this one will surely suit your taste buds.

Rice Series (Starts at P399)
This flavor is made from rice flour and served with green salt, honey garlic, and cream cheese.

Soonsal Series (Starts at P149)
This is their version of boneless chicken covered in special rice batter with choice of jambalaya and mustard dipping sauce.

Mix Wings (P499)
This is the combination of their three flavors: soy garlic, red pepper, and honey.

Their wings are perfect to be paired with beer! Just so you know, Kyochon also offers Beer: San Mig Light and Pale Pilsen. This is so perfect if you just want to chill with friends while eating and drinking.

Kyochon is one of the brands that offer authentic Korean fried chicken here in the Philippines. It's good to know that they still have two branches whenever we crave for classic tastes of Korea.
