Izakaya Kenta | 50% Off This Holiday Season

I love Japanese dishes to the extent that I can eat them all day, every day. I love how everything is freshly prepared with a flavorful taste that suits every palate. Here in the country, Japanese restaurants are almost everywhere we go. One place I found just recently is Izakaya Kenta in Banawe that serves authentic Japanese food. The good news is that they have on-going 50% OFF ON ALL THE FOOD ITEMS IN THE MENU!

Just a little background, Izakaya Kenta has been serving since 1997 where they first originated in Pedro Gil, Manila. Now, they have three prime branches located in Banawe, Malate, and San Juan. The holiday promo is only valid at Banawe and San Juan branches. I got a chance to taste some of their best sellers in Banawe which happened to be the nearest branch to me.

Izakaya Kenta in Banawe has a limited seating capacity of up to 30 people only. The interior design depicts the rustic ambiance of an izakaya place. The overall feel is very laid-back, perfect for lunch outs or late night dinner.

Actually, the promo started last December 1 and will run-up to the end of the Christmas season. Everything on the menu is 50% off from its original price. Best selling items were introduced to us such as the following:

Tako Potato (From P260 to P130 only)
One of their best items on the menu. This Tako Potato is made up of mashed potato with octopus inside, sprinkled with generous amount of bonito flakes. So yum!

Spicy Tuna Maki (From P255 to P127.50 only)
If you are into spicy food, you need to try this one. I loved the spicy tuna on top!

Tonkatsu Ramen (From P265 to P132.50 only)
This ramen noodle soup has pork broth-based topped with sliced pork, egg, chicharo, mema, Taiwan petchay, benishoga, and sesame seeds. The entire serving will make you so full, actually.

Manten Ramen (From P265 to P132.50 only)
I love seafood dishes and this one is my favorite ramen among all that I tried. It had a generous amount of toppings like seafood, mixed veggies, and crab sticks.

Miso Ramen (From P255 to P132.50 only)
The soup is flavored with miso paste broth. On top of the generous amount of noodles, it also comes with thinly sliced pork.

Tantanmen Ramen (From P265 to P127.50 only)
It has the same soup based as the Miso Ramen but the difference is that it's spicy. You will like the taste if you want to have an exciting flavor. It also has sliced pork, Taiwan petchay, naruto, sesame seed, and onion leeks.

Katsu Curry Rice (From P520 to P260 only)
Aside from ramen, another must-try dish here is this curry rice. The katsu is cooked to make it crispy covered with curry sauce. I'm not really a curry person, but this one was one of my flavorful dishes here!

If you are craving for Japanese food but on a tight budget, you must go here at Izakaya Kento this holiday season. Every serving is good for sharing especially their ramen. I can't wait to try other dishes like the maguro sashimi, tonkatsu, and ebi tempura. Hurry because there are only two weeks left for the offerings!
