Taiwanese Cravings | Fat Fook

Family dinner is one of the things that I usually look forward to on weekends. One Sunday night, we decided to go to SM North EDSA to bond and have a simple dinner with them. We checked out some restaurants and since I’m the foodie in the family, I decided to eat at Fat Fook since we all crave for something Asian.

This is my second time to eat at Fat Fook because I already tried their branch in UP Town Center months ago. The design of their restaurant is also similar with prominent red and black colors. I love the bowls displayed on their wall which makes Fat Fook unique from other Chinese restaurants.

Fat Fook serves Taiwanese cuisines that we also find interesting since Taiwan is becoming one of our top destinations in Asia. I found their food new to my taste, so I wanted to share them with my family. We had the following:

West Lake Soup (N/A)
If you want a warm taste to before hitting off the big meal, then you must get this one. The flavor was so good for a soup that this made me a bit full after finishing off two small bowls.

Spicy Pork Ears (P168)
Perfect for an appetizer! The pig ears were tender and spicy taste was tolerable.

Mama O’s Patatim (P368)
This one comes with cuapao. I loved the mild sweetness of the dish that didn't compromise the taste of the meat.

Pork Xiao Long Bao (P258/ 8pcs)
One of the best XLB I've tried - hot, comforting, and bursting with flavors!

Drinks (P128 | P158)
We got the Guava Juice and Fresh Lemon Juice. You should try them too!

What I love about Fat Fook is that the serving size of each dish is good for sharing. This is why I chose this restaurant because it’s really for families. Bonding and sharing of good food is one of the best things about family weekend.
