Perfect Brunch Spot in Marikina: Eggs for Breakfast

My passion for food blogging started when I got the chance to be invited to attend a foodie meetup way back 2017. It's been a long journey since then because my first interest is mainly for traveling and I was doing a blog just to document all the happenings in my life. Then slowly, I became a reviewer for restaurants when I'm not on a trip then until this day came out that my current company showed interest to include me on their latest campaign - the Passion Project.

This initiative is part of our company to showcase talents with one of kind passion. I'm one of those fortunate who got the chance to be interviewed. Since my forte is mainly for restaurants, I came up with different lists but ended up with a perfect choice to do our shoot in this newly opened cafe in Marikina, the Eggs for Breakfast.

Located just beside the main road of Sto. Nino,  Eggs for Breakfast is the second branch of the one in Antipolo. This homey cafe exudes with a minimalist theme which got its inspiration to Mari Kondo's style. The whole interior has a white wall with earth colors to blend in the simplicity of the design. I just loved how the natural light came in inside, perfect for photo ops!

Eggs for Breakfast has three common areas which include the main dining where the counter and kitchen are located, the al fresco, and the second floor which I think is for private events.

In this restaurant cafe, they serve all-day breakfast and brunch dishes. There is a slight difference in their menu compared to the one in Antipolo because here, they offer pastries, bread, and cakes which are freshly-baked.

For the menu, we tried some of their brunch dishes:

Greek Salad (P265)
For a starter, we ordered this salad which includes tomatoes, cucumber, red onions, black olives, and feta cheese, sprinkled with homemade dressing. I liked that their ingredients were fresh though the serving was I think, good for 2 persons only.

Eggs Benedict (P330)
One of my faves breakfast meals because I loved poached eggs! The taste of their eggs ben wasn’t that sour because of the hollandaise sauce. The serving was also appetizing which had a nice color contrast of each ingredient. The bacon, oh the bacon, who wouldn’t love its smoky taste?

Kimchi Rice (P300)
I know this one might not be their specialty but we gave this a try. It was unexpected to taste not too spicy kimchi rice, but overall, it was worth to try.

White Truffle Carbonara (P270)
ONE OF THE BEST! I wrote in capslock for you to feel the intensity. One of the yummiest truffle carbonara which had an underwhelming taste of truffle oil. Everything was mixed well, pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was way creamier!

Buttermilk Pancakes with Eggs and Bacon (P270)
I liked how the serving was too big and enough for sharing (or not if you are not a light eater). As expected, the pancakes were soft and moist, the bacon was thickly cut, and the eggs were cooked just the way I liked it.

I would like to apologize if I forgot the names of these amazing creations but believe me, these were so damn good! Both of them were moist and soft, not to mention that they were freshly baked and stored in the refrigerator with the right temperature to maintain the goodness of the cake. Guys, I vouch for both of these!

Brunch restaurants are becoming a thing here in Manila and Eggs for Breakfast has a lot of good things to offer. Having good meals especially in the morning should be mandatory to start off our happy day. Thanks, Eggs for Breakfast, I can't wait to be back!
