New Dishes Alert | Mesa Filipino Modern

Whether you're a balikbayan or just someone who craves Filipino comfort food, Mesa can give you the yummiest dishes for that.

Part of our looloo rendevoos food crawl, we first visited Mesa alongside with other fellow reviewers.
This was actually my first time to dine in Mesa and now I already knew their dishes satisfied my love for Filipino food. If I could just give more than 5 stars, I would do that! To give you an idea, we had the following:

PANCIT CANTON

Pancit is a staple dish of Filipinos during celebrations and in Mesa, their version is very much close to Filipino taste. Everything was well-cooked, veggies were not soggy, and every bite is flavorful that reminded me of an old barrio dish.

BAGOONG KANGKONG

I never used to like sauteed kangkong but Mesa's version was waaaay delicious! It's also topped with crispy pork that makes this dish perfect!

ALL MEAT SAMPLER (INIHAW)

Your meal won’t be completed without meat, so All Meat Sampler is a perfect dish for everyone who likes different meat. It consists of grilled pork bbq, liempo, crispy short ribs, and chicken.

SINIGANG NA HIPON SA BAYABAS AT PINYA

Everything was so good! My love for sinigang got a new intense. The mixed of guava and pineapple was just right for the sourness of the soup. Those ingredients are Mesa's signature flavor for Sinigang. Actually, this one is already existing on their menu but they enhanced the taste a bit for a more flavorful experience.

TINAPA RICE

If you're tired of eating plain rice, then you should try their version of Tinapa Rice. Flavor was just right, not too salty or bland. I liked the smoky flavors of tinapa that matched with the salted egg. This is true to the saying of "kanin pa lang, ulam na".

TURON WITH LANGKA ICE CREAM

I used to taste langka inside the turon but this one is also put in the ice cream flavor...and it created a very harmonious combination!

Everything that Mesa served to us was for meant for sharing from 4 to 5 persons. I enjoyed all of these dishes that gave a nice twist to the usual Filipino comfort food.

The ambiance of this restaurant is very comfortable. They also have a function room if you want an intimate or private event that can accommodate up to 20 people.

Thank you Foodee Global Concepts, Mesa, and looloo app for the awesome Part 1 of our Foodcrawl. ♥️
